That's if she survives the election.
So I must of lost track of her tenure; if she's up for re-election, boy-howdy I'll be sure to tell people what she has said. I think if enough people know she's emulating Obama with the 'I got a cell and pen, to heck with the rest of you' then she shouldn't stand a chance (I wish!)

Because she took over for Khitz she has to face the next election, which is this November. Despite never being actually elected to the office of Governor, she does get to run as an "incumbent."

If pro-gun voters in Oregon don't rally all around the state, she will get re-elected and she will get her way. No one, and I mean no one, that cares about their gun rights can 'sit this one out'. No excuses about not voting. And if your only option is to vote for someone that's not your normal party affiliation, just to vote pro-gun, then please consider doing so, at least this once. These folks need to have a very clear message sent to them - attack our rights, and you're going away.

Even if it was something I was OK with (I don't think lengthening the wait time for a background check is bad, but sounds like she wants to go above and beyond that), I want her gone just because she's showing the same disrespect for We the People that Obama does by expressly going against our wishes and just doing whatever the hell they want to do using Executive Order.

You know what this means....

Saddle up, time to run her out of her appointed position... We need a drastic change in Salem....

Perhaps we can make a clean sweep????

This might be a good time to flood her inbox and remind her that there is a Constitution in Oregon and she has a sworn duty to uphold it or We the People have a duty to remover her, even physically (if necessary), from office...

Enough of having our rights trampled and Patriots murdered under her watch...

Who the heck is the pro-gun candidate? What does the list of people running for governor look like at this stage? Anybody know?

Probably easier to identify the anti-gun candidates like Brown, Kotek, Johnson.

The race hasn't really quite gotten underway yet, we'll get more info as the primary approaches in May. Our best bet may be Allen Alley, but he's not yet announced. Dennis Richardson will be running for Secretary of State this time around, and we could use him in that position.

Each local voting district will need to carefully look at the candidates they will be voting on in the primary and in the general election and be certain they're choosing either pro-gun folks, or at least folks that are, at worst, neutral on the subject. No Prozanski, Kotek or Brown types - they absolutely will come after our gun rights - they've pretty much promised they'll do just that.

I sent a message to Bud Pierce a few months ago when he first announced and again today about his 2A stance. No Response so far.

This would be a good spot, or a new post (Etrain seems to have a good list) to start a lengthy thread about different politicians 2A history and positions. Remember, this is STRICTLY their 2A positions, other issues violate the forum rules. Maybe we can unite the firearms community around one candidate.

Interesting choices. We, as believers in the constitution must get active in this election. Even if the most pro gun, pro constitution candidate isn't your preferred party, as mentioned above, we as believers have an obligation to do everything in our power to get them into office...

Rather than vote party this election season, vote issues, pick those who really represent your values, morals and beliefs... It's our only hope...

This is the most important election I've seen in my lifetime and I ain't no youngin'

Good idea. I'll start keeping my ears open, and if I hear anything, I'll be happy to add it.

I wonder if @Joe Link would be open to us creating a thread, maybe a sticky, that has the full list of candidates for the 2016 primary and general election, and let us just mark next to each one - pro-gun, anti-gun or unknown.

Yep, no problem. The thread should be created by the person who will keep it updated (so they have edit permission). If that'll be you go ahead and create it ;)

Not sure if I'm the best one for that, but I'll give it a thought. Thanks Joe.

Okay, I set up the thread. It will need some work, but the placeholder is there. I'll try to start updating it with the info I have in the near future. I'll need help with others from around the state to let me know who the candidates are and their stance on guns:

@Joe Link made it a sticky, so it will be easy to find :)
