many of us have our EDC pistols at work. some people know and dont mind even though our handbook says we cant. dont ask dont tell. infact, a lot of people who know feel safer with those of us who have our guns there. imagine that.

Employers definitely need to rethink active shooter scenarios. They need to let employees carry. They need to have sop's in place like locking ones self with others in a location with a gun at ready. Once le clears the place, they can identify themselves verbally and clearly near the location.

At a previous place of work we had a very large warehouse fronted by a 2 story office/cube farm across the front w windows. One day a nut job came in the front door and began to create mayhem throwing things knocking over plants etc. He then ran up the stairs and grabbed a fire ex and began praying offices and walls and eventually throwing it out a second story window. Then ran out the door, but was eventually caught.
Nobody was armed, everyone stared at him and no one tried to stop him. So new company policy doors are locked, once inside there is a 110 lb girl behind a desk to confront people! The more things change, the more they remain the same!
