Had a great little pair of donkeys. One unfortunately died of a uterine infection, so we sold the other. We'll get more eventually. They're a lot of fun.

When I was a kid, we had both at the same time.

A friend of mine had a donkey. He named it "Donkey" (Shrek pronunciation).

He had to get rid of it because it got really mean. He was afraid it was going to kill a goat or hurt a person. He sold it to someone cheap, with full disclosure about the meanness. They brought him back because he was just too mean. I think they then gave him to someone else who said they could take care of the meanness somehow. I'm not sure if that meant training, or glue factory.

Absolutely. My friends donkey was completely untrained, and probably bored.

Also, I think that video was a bit sensationalized. There was another story going around the internet a couple years ago, that purported to show a donkey killing a mountain lion. It wasn't true. Donkeys can be useful in the role of livestock guard animal, but like any other animal they have their limitations.
