Got a new SP-101 today

So I picked up a very lightly used Ruger SP-101 today for $450.00. Not to bad. It came in the box with all of the original paperwork plus the factory test shell. I couldn't pass it up, especially since the Crimson Trace grips were already installed. Anybody have a good recomendation for a defense .357 round for CCW? I picked 3 boxes of Hornaday 154 grain hollow points for it. Has anyone used these before?

If I were going to carry a wheel gun the 101 would be my first choice.

I'm a big fan of Federal HS if you can find them.

Daddio I'm sure that your selection is a good one; Hornaday generally makes a good product. I've carried an SP101 for over sixteen years but rarely shoot .357 ammunition through it: prefering to shoot such ammunition through my N frame revolvers.

My favorite SP101 cartridge is the Speer Gold Dot 135 Grain .38 Special +P short barrel round.
