I went and got a new carry gun this week. Purchased a Baby Desert Eagle 40, 3.6". It's nice so far. Does anyone have one similar, or have any positive or negative experiences with any of the Baby Eagles?

I have the original Jericho made by IMI and I LOVE IT! Never had a problem and its had 2 bijilllion rounds through it. The polygonal bore is still minty fresh too.

One of my good friends has a 9mm baby eagle, they did a good job tinkering with the CZ platform. But I would probably find it a bit heavy for CC myself.

Had one, thought it a great piece. Liked the heft, handles the "snappy" .40 very nicely. Beats polymers all to heck. In a moment of weakness, I traded it for a .44 Rem Mag.....like the heft!

+1. i've always wondered the allure to the baby eagle series. why not just go with the tried and true original?

I almost bought a stainless one once but did not due to it's weight and size. I do bet it handles the .40S&W round very nicely though. :)

I sold my 40sw to pay for books when in school...

I got one in 9mm 5 years ago to replace it... I will never sell that one!!!

I hope your guns shoots as good as mine does!!! By far the most accurate pistols out of the box ever!!!

I picked up a 9mm as my first auto-pistol and will probably have it till i die. One of the biggest reasons i got it was the feel in my large hand. I now carry it daily as well as shoot her couple times a month. Accurate as all get out, I consistently out shoot my friends with their glocks, HK's, 1911s, S&Ws and Tauruses. I wouldn't mind building up the whole family, all calibers, and maybe the daddy at some point.

Just think, if you ever run out of bullets you could always use it as a club!
