Howdy and hello,

You can call me Walker. Pretty laid back individual. Love guns and freedom. Generally like to avoid conflict, but not opposed to some good back and forth in good faith. Wish I had more money and time to shoot, but you know how that goes. Can't wait to move out of PDX (been here about a decade). I suppose I'd call myself a centrist, not one to pick sides or make sweeping generalizations. Prefer a case by case basis. Human nature don't too often mix with common sense. I EDC a little old .38 revolver. I got a real slow day job so you'll get probably see me delving into the forums out of sheer boredom. Hope this suffices for a decent intro. Feel free to ask me anything.

Hello Walker. Welcome from the gun-totin' old broad contingent.
I, like you, tend to see nuances, shades of grey, and complexity, and much that has to be considered on a case by case basis. And while my .44 mags are my favorites for woods carry or hunting or plinking, my EDC is a SW 686 snubby loaded with...wait for it...ta ta!...38sp wadcutters. (Actually, Buffalo Bore short barrel anti personnel hard cast wadcutters. Check them out at the BB website if you're unfamiliar with them. I switched to them after I learned that full .357 mag loads are way louder than 38 sp, 9mm, .40, .45, etc., and can break eardrums if fired in confined spaces such as in home or car.)

Thank you for the kind words and welcome!!

Welcome Aboard. Glad you found the forum.

This is the best place to hang out on the internet.

Once we're able to start using the public lands again, check out the organized clean ups. It's the best way to meet the community and learn where and how to use public lands responsibly.

[Edit- We are doing non ODFW supported cleanups at public forests] - check the North Fork Wolf Creek Road thread in resources.

Until then check out Trash No Land.
