"Glow" sights for Ruger SR 1911?

Seeking opinions about the usefulness of these glowing sights; recommended brand and cost. I'd like to just get an easy-to-see sight for these 80 year old eyes, so maybe doesn't have to be "glow." I saw a new Glock this week and REALLY liked their sights...bright white! Whaddya think?

Check out Truglo TFX sights, they are a combination of tritium and fiber optic to give day and night bright sights. That said, a red dot sight is the way to go IMO.

If you like a white dot, go for it.

Novak & Heinie are tops for 1911 sights in my opinion.
