So, has anybody figured out Glocks method of numbering their models? I herd it was the order they patented each design but that dosnt make any sense to me...seems kinda random. What the secret?

What was the first released glock then? Wouldn't it be a lot more simple if that were the case? Never herd of the 1-16, or a 24 or 25.

Glock 17 started with the 17th patent of the company.

Glock 24 is a .40S&W that was the size of the 17L. Due to a competition rule change it would have been an open class, so both were discontinued in favor of the 34 and 35.

Glock 25 is in .380 and not sold in the US.

That is not entirely true. G17L is produced in quantitates of a 1,000 or less pieces per year. My G17L is a 2009 pistol.

Might get a little confusing on the next release---unless they make it in 40 S&W!

Don't forget the infamous ceramic Glock 7 that could pass through metal detectors and cost more than an airport cop's monthly salary.

Yup and only in Die Hard 2. It's a fictional gun and doesn't really exist, sadly enough (maybe luckily enough, image if on 9/11 they had those on the plane instead of plastic knives. That's scary)

Maybe it's just the formatting, but that got really confusing for me.
