Many guns twist and flex when watched with a highspeed camera. You should see HS video of an ak firing. It looks like you have a slinky stretched between your hands.

I'm sure any polymer gun will flex while under recoil. Frame flex shouldn't deter you from owning a Glock.

Your Kimber and Ruger do flex just not as much as the Glock. Plastic = more flexible than metal.

"Stiff structures attract force," as a civil engineer I know put it.
I've seen vids of big naval guns firing that look like cartoons, the way the barrel shortens and thickens before it spits out the shell, and then wiggles all around until it calms down.
The great thing about steel is its resistance to cold-working. And plastic frames are totally immune to work-hardening.

Glock says that's what their guns are designed to do.

Never had an issue with it at all personally but sometimes guys have had issues with putting tac lights on their Gen 3 pistols and then having fail to feed malfunctions with duty rounds. My understanding is that the fix for that is a stronger magazine spring but again, I've never had the issue personally.

I have had similar results with a Gen 2 Glock that had worn out mag springs. Simple fix to put in new springs and then it worked like a champ.

I think I'd be more concerned if it didn't flex. Its totally normal and you have nothing to worry about.

It doesn't flex as much as I thought it would. The relationship between the barrel, guide rod, and frame changes a lot, (like pretty much any pistol would) which probably adds to the illusion of it looking like a "wet noodle".
