All glocks have poor chamber support, which is typically the main cause of Kabooms. Usually these happens with reloads because the first time the brass is used, it can get the "glock bulge", and if you are so unlucky as to have the bulge line up with the unsupported of the chamber, then you have the chance to be in a world of hurt.

So is the only way to stop the problem is to buy new ammo?

Or just buy a new lone wolf barrel, or any other with a better supported chamber. Another way they can blow up is by shooting lead in the factory barrels, which can build up leading, and cause pressures to rise. This is another benefit of an aftermarket barrel, which use standard rifling instead of polygonal.
