I did research. Gen 2.5 has the finger grooves like a gen 3 but without the accessory rail. This is a gen 3 you have here.

I did research. Gen 2.5 has the finger grooves like a gen 3 but without the accessory rail. This is a gen 3 you have here.

Gen 2.5 can also be with finger grooves BUT with no checkering on the inside of the finger grooves. Basically the first time they added the finger grooves they were not textured, they were smooth finger grooves, that is Gen 2.5 as I had a G26 of this variety. I'm not sure about the accessory rail but I thought the rail came onto the scene at the same time as the finger grooves
