Note to self: Chocolate not good for terrier..."George's hand remained outstretched imperiously. Slowly, like a terrier who doesn't want to bring a ball to its master, Lennie approached drew back, approached again. George snapped his fingers sharply, and at the sound Lennie laid the mouse in his hand"
And that's all I have to about that...
"I asked him not to escalate things further." More like "IA story, by Keenerjustin11 as corrected by AI:
"My wife and I were in our bedroom when we heard a loud "boom." We jumped up, put on our shoes, and headed toward the front door. Just as we reached the door, there was a second loud "boom." We hurried outside and saw a line of fire trucks. Across the street, our neighbor's garage and a large tree in their yard were on fire. The explosions were caused by propane tanks in their garage, and they also had several vehicles parked nearby that caught fire.
I grabbed our garden hose to wet down our front yard because, just a week earlier, someone had thrown a cigarette butt out of their car window, which started a small fire in our yard. While I was doing this, my wife started yelling at someone. I turned around and saw a crowd of people in our driveway, shouting profanities at her. Some were even interfering with the firefighters trying to do their job. Many of these people were kids, with a few parents and neighbors mixed in.
For context, my wife's family are bikers who used to throw big parties, so the neighbors don't like us much. I've only lived here for about two years and have never spoken to them. As I walked toward the driveway, I heard them calling my wife offensive names and saying we needed to "learn respect." I stayed calm but told everyone to leave our property, let the firefighters work, and stop causing trouble. I reminded them this was someone's home and livelihood, but no one listened. They just kept yelling.
I suggested to my wife that we go inside to check on our dogs, who were probably stressed. She was on the phone with her mom (the property owner), who told her to record the crowd so we could file trespassing and harassment charges. I went inside to check on the dogs and grab a drink, knowing this was going to be a long, stressful day.
When I went back outside, my holster caught on something, and my firearm fell to the ground. I picked it up, put it back in the holster, and secured it. Unbeknownst to me, a fire marshal saw me with the gun and called the police, reporting that a citizen was "waving a gun."
Soon, police arrived. While I was arguing with someone in the crowd (who called my wife a derogatory name), I noticed my wife being handcuffed by an officer who was being unnecessarily rough with her. I raised my hands and walked toward them, not realizing another officer was nearby. I asked why she was being detained, but the officer didn't answer. Instead, he pushed me against our car, pressed his gun into my side, and asked if I wanted to die. I told him no and asked again why my wife was being detained.
I then informed the officer about the firearm on my hip and asked him to secure it. He didn't respond, so I repeated myself louder. Still no reaction. I raised my hands and told him to watch me as I showed him the gun was unloaded. I pulled back the slide to prove there was no bullet in the chamber, hoping to de-escalate the situation.
At this point, another officer charged at me, yelling to drop the gun. I told him it was in the holster and asked him not to escalate things further. I admit I made mistakes here—my fight-or-flight instincts kicked in, and I wasn't thinking clearly. I grabbed my gun to show it was empty, but the officers pinned my arm against the car, yelling at me to drop it. I couldn't open my hand because they were squeezing it so tightly.
The officers tased me three times, causing excruciating pain. They kneed me in the ribs and punched me while I was on the ground. I kept telling them I wasn't resisting and asked them to stop hitting me. Eventually, they handcuffed me and pushed me against the car. I demanded their badge numbers, saying I would sue the city, which seemed to upset one officer, leading to a third tasing."
It's better than 10,000?
And not very intelligent. If that's "Artificial Intelligence" it's VERY artificial!
So let me get this straight, a bunch of people were trespassing on your property and threatening you, you use your guns in self-defense or brandish them in self-defense in an attempt to get them to stop. They still tased you and beat you up and the judge punished you? Yep that pretty much sounds like Washington state, punishing the victim.Hello everyone I'm currently in a bind here I've got a court issued firearms safety class in which I need to complete in 90 days due to pretty much me being on my property with my firearm a bunch of people on my property that I was telling to get off my property cops got called I got beat up and tased several times while still on my property and the judge issued me a year and a half of no getting in trouble as well as a mandatory gun safety class in person not online that I have to complete within 90 days.. I've called around to three places that I found on Google and one of them recently had a fire the other two or not taking anybody in because they're going range is down at the moment. Can anybody please send me and the right direction it has to be in Kent Washington and roughly within a 10 mile radius of where I am located. I realize I still have 87 days but I am panicking and freaking out one because I do not want to lose my gun rights two because I do not want to go to jail for 5 years for something that I feel was completely misconstrued to make me look bad so that the city could get their money. Please help SOS

Irrelevant, the state doesn't care either way if a guns involved they're going to bury you if they can, it's the best way to deter gun ownership.Might wanna read the whole "story"
There are some folks out there that don't deserve to own firearms.....this might be one of those cases. I hate the saying...."play stupid games win stupid prizes" but seems to apply hereIrrelevant, the state doesn't care either way if a guns involved they're going to bury you if they can, it's the best way to deter gun ownership.
No, really... not irrelevant. The state doesnt need to deter gun ownership with stories like this.Irrelevant, the state doesn't care either way if a guns involved they're going to bury you if they can, it's the best way to deter gun ownership.
There are people who tend to get into certain kinds of situations. And the writing style makes those kinds of situations more plausible. And not very intelligent.
Something about this story doesn't pass the smell test.
