I sent an email to Girsan this morning with a few questions. What are the different cuts signifying, how the barrel fits into frame?I, too, want to know this!! And, which type of cut is the ramped barrel cut for, Nowlin or Para?
After some brief research, The A1's are series 70, and the A2's are series 80.Looking at the Girsan 1911 S10. 10mm long slide. Does anyone know if they utilize the series 80 firing pin safety or are a series 70 design. I have looked at several reviews and nobody addresses this issue. EAA/Girsan doesn't mention it either.
Yes, i also sent a message to Girsan /EAA, too, maybe Thursday. Still waiting. I am also interested in the 6in hunter model. But need to know if the ramped barrel will fit my DW frame.I sent an email to Girsan this morning with a few questions. What are the different cuts signifying, how the barrel fits into frame?
Where do you find if they are A1 or A2? Nothing on EAA website mention that. After some brief research, The A1's are series 70, and the A2's are series 80.
I not having too much knowledge 1911 wise

Yes i got my response the same way. Ask three questions and only received two answers back. They did not answer which type of cut is the ramped barrel for - Nowlin or Para. But learned it is series 70 and the frame is milled.
They are not great. Very slow, almost as if they do not want to answer questions.Nothing from Girsan so far...
Did you buy one? I am also considering making an offer on a 10mm Hunter but I'm hesitant with the lack of info on the materials. For 10mm I would like a forged frame. For the pricepoint, i may take a risk in buying one, after all, 1911 parts can be had from many different sources.
No, i did not. I opted to get a G20 instead. And since the 1911 Gov't frame is the same from 9mm to 45acp (according to Dan Wesson), I am considering having a 10mm slide mated to my DW specialist. Sorry, i cannot be mlre helpful.Did you buy one? I am also considering making an offer on a 10mm Hunter but I'm hesitant with the lack of info on the materials. For 10mm I would like a forged frame.
