My 74 year old eyes have floaters in just the wrong place so I have trouble seeing the front sight on my M1 Garand. I've been thinking of adding a scope or red dot and would like comment on which is provides best sight picture when eyes are on the blurry side at action shooting distances?

I have the Hopco MRO mount for mine.
There are a couple of models available that fit most common optics.

I have an RMR compatible one with a Holosun on it. Im good to go for 200m or less with it.

NO permanent modification to the rifle is necessary, the base replaces the rear sight. The same assembly that holds the rear sight in place holds the mount in place, very solid. Can change back to original sight without any trouble.
