The ATACAMA is coated with a highly resistant CERAKOTE layer called "Desert Sand". This desert camo pattern ensures the rifle will never appear as a dark spot contrasting against the landscape. Just like the S 100 CHEROKEE, the barrel, steel receiver and bolt knob are all coated with CERAKOTE.
