Frozen Extractor Pin on Double Action Pistol, Need Advice

Model 60 Smith. Threaded knurl extractor pin impossible to reasonably loosen. Soaked with appropriate oil-solvents. Don't want to bend or break or damaged exposed end. Extractor doesn't slide smoothly. Open to suggestions.

I believe they are left handed threads. Put the rod in a soft jaw vise and gently rotate the cylinder like you want to tighten it.

Appreciate the information. Have not tried that, will let you know. New problem to me and really don't was to abuse the end of the extractor.

I would also place at least three spent shells into the cylinder so you don't put unwanted pressure on the extractor.

Extractor rod threads tend to run opposite cylinder rotation.

Success. Used soft jaws on the vise. Once the extractor was secure, having placed three empty brass in cylinder, turned the cylinder without any extra force and it loosened immediately. Appreciate the good directions.
