It's going to be neat when the Federal government decides to exert more of it's control on the people and there are no more equipped local citizens, you know, ones that are actually members of our communities and stuff, who have access to tools and equipment that may help us.

But as long as those dirty cops don't have access to armored boxes on tracks. They could use those to commit genocide for crying out loud. That and all the other equipment that is available to every other civilian but somehow becomes a "tool of oppression" the minute a cop touches it.

I believe that Obama is taking those vehicles and equipment back because he wants to make our lives better!

Keep in mind this was all the stuff that was used against the terrorists in SB only a few weeks ago. This is the way it is intended to be deployed. Funny, didn't hear anyone complaining about this use.

I really dislike this talk about calling up the national guard. So lets reduce the effectiveness of LEOs by removing all of these (defensive only) weapons of war (sound familiar?), and instead call up an actual military force. Let's bring in all the tanks and Bradleys from Yakima, good call guys. In all these calls for removing the military equipment from LEOs, I have yet to hear of an actual example of any department having a tank, Bradley or armed aircraft or anything offensive. Its all about M113s (primary used by the military for medics) and other "scary" vehicles. Just because it has tracks doesn't make it a tank.
