Glad you joined us! Lots of really good people here and a wealth of knowledge and experience! As others have mentioned glad you enjoy firearms, the world at times will seem against you, take what most say with a grain of salt and watch out for the @AK0perator47 guy he can get weird! Lol just ask @Stomper or @Ura-Ki :s0140: :s0119:

Yeah, and remember to wear pants around here…. just sayin'.

Good, now avoid the common new guy with new rifle mistake of buying every piece of "tactical crap" you can throw on it until you have really determined based on your intended goals what you want to have, and then after that, do a good amount of more research on what you get, before you get it.

This will help you save money on crap you don't need or later find out want, and you'll have more for what you do actually need/ want.

Welcome Aboard. Glad you found the forum.

This is the best place to hang out on the internet.

Once we're able to start using the public lands again, check out the organized clean ups. It's the best way to meet the community and learn where and how to use public lands responsibly.

[Edit- We are doing non ODFW supported cleanups at public forests] - check the North Fork Wolf Creek Road thread in resources.

Until then check out Trash No Land.

This is seriously good advice. It probably came from experience, and we all know where that came from! Poor decisions!

If you can heed @American123 's advice and find knowledgeable people to get tips from, you'll be much better off financially in the long run.

Or, you can be like the rest of us and buy schi, uh, stuff that we think's cool and find out the hard way what bOObs we are. :)

Good rifle. Good fit. Good trigger. Good optics (or sights). Then it's all on you.

Thankfully I've been able to avoid most "gun purchasing blunders" and learned by reading, researching, and watching to the point that nearly 100% of what I own, I still appreciate and find useful owning and isn't "tactical crap."

Now, if the OP wants advice on terrible first marriages with lying and manipulative women. I'd be happy to share based on personal experience what to avoid. Haha!
