And again they blamed the driver just like they tried w the newspaper ladies. LA cops seem to do no wrong.

Police seeking Dorner opened fire in a second case of mistaken identity - latimes.com

David Perdue was on his way to sneak in some surfing before work Thursday morning when police flagged him down. They asked who he was and where he was headed, then sent him on his way.

Seconds later, Perdue's attorney said, a Torrance police cruiser slammed into his pickup and officers opened fire; none of the bullets struck Perdue.

His pickup, police later explained, matched the description of the one belonging to Christopher Jordan Dorner — the ex-cop who has evaded authorities after allegedly killing three and wounding two more. But the pickups were different makes and colors. And Perdue looks nothing like Dorner: He's several inches shorter and about a hundred pounds lighter. And Perdue is white; Dorner is black.

"I don't want to use the word buffoonery but it really is unbridled police lawlessness," said Robert Sheahen, Perdue's attorney. "These people need training and they need restraint."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Torrance police said the officers who slammed into Perdue were responding to shots fired moments earlier in a nearby area where LAPD officers were standing guard outside the home of someone targeted in an online manifesto that authorities have attributed to Dorner.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

According to the police department, Perdue's car was headed directly for one of their patrol vehicles and appeared not to be yielding. When the vehicles collided, Perdue's air bag went off, blocking the view of the driver, and one officer fired three rounds.

The Torrance police chief apologized to Perdue and offered him a rental car and payment for his medical expenses, the statement said.

Looks like they first tried to say he rammed them and that's why they opened up. But they didn't charge him w assault, in fact they called him a rental car and apologized. Remember when they tried to float the story that the newspaper ladies tried to put their truck in reverse and ram them? Sounds like the standard justification in LA when you shoot at a civilian in a vehicle.

Sounds like they rammed his truck and then shot him up. Oops, sorry about that skinny white surfer, we mistook you for a huge black guy driving a truck of a different color and make.

These guys (w guns and badges)are out of control, in actions and in cover ups. I have no doubt about Dorners police brutality story and no doubt that he was fired because he broke ranks and they couldn't trust him to collude in cover ups that apparently happen on a daily basis. Yeah I can see why these crooked idiots wouldn't want a straight arrow around.

He sure has brought some sunlight into this corrupt PO. Too bad he decided to kill civies though.

The fact that they have opened fire on the truck with the little ladies should be enough to make a federal case out of it. That is proof enough that these guy have no intention of arresting Dorner and have him go to trial. They want to kill him. They are violating his constitutional rights. Even worse, in their eagerness to assasinate this man, they are firing on completely innocent people. That's worse than a mob hitman. A hitman will identify the target first, these JBT are just spraying anything that has a remote possibility of having Dorner in it with a hail of bullets.
Any one of these KaliNazis should be facing attemted murder charges.

"A department spokesman said Saturday that the shooting is still under investigation. In a statement to The Times, the department said: "The circumstances of the incident known to the responding officers would have led a reasonable officer under normal circumstances — and these were far from normal circumstances — to believe that fellow officers were being shot at and that the vehicle traveling toward them posed a serious risk.

"In the split seconds available to them," the statement continued, "action was appropriate to intervene and stop the actions of the driver of that vehicle."

Reasonable officer? That spokesmen is just another LE liar, covering up piece of garbage. Action was appropriate? Liar.

More CA police idiocy

So me or my wife driving down the road doing the speed limit and minding our business can be ran off the road and be shot at by multiple rounds from the LEOs and it would be legally justified in LEs eyes?

Anyone else see a problem with that?

" Stephen Samuel at 1:27 PM February 10, 2013

The LAPD has sentenced Dorner to death, and they're not going to wait for a Judge to pronounce sentence. Their problem is the same as Dorner's an attitude that 'any violence by me is OK, and any violence against me justifies an overkill reaction."

It's not just Dorner who needs a serious attitude readjustment. Both him and the LAPD represent serious threats to the lives of all LA residents."

Y'all understand that these two shootings happened in California right?
The sue happy capital of the world?

All three of these people will live happily ever after with the payments they will receive from the police departments.
I would bet they have been contacted by 100 lawyers already

While after first reading the supposed manifesto, I was sure that this man must be suffering from some sort of psychosis. He sited departmental corruption that amounted police brutality, and racism. He answer to this was a premeditated spree murder against the accused, in order to clear his name. The thought that a spree murder would do anything but vindicate his grounds for removal from the force is beyond me. The article that explains that there were changes to the manifesto, sites the news organizations, but fails to suggest who was responsible for the changes. Surely, these organizations are not colluding to rewrite this together. Drudge especially would benefit in no way from the addition of anti-assualt weapon, and pro-liberal passages. Especially considering that if the man were ever to come out of this alive, he would certainly illuminate the rouse.

Beyond that, I think it is clear at this point that the LAPD have issued kill orders on this man. I tend to disagree that it's due to any information he has that the LAPD is worried about getting out, because if he went through the work of citing the corruption that he did in a published manifesto, why would he withhold the juicy stuff?

The LAPD is acting like this corrupt institution that it is being accused of being. The gang in blue is out for some street level justice, and its very concerning that the Feds haven't jumped in and put a stop to this. Just as they would remove and officer from a case that he or she was too closely involved with, the agency as a whole, should not be responsible for bringing their personal enemies to justice.

It was a black Honda Ridgeline and it happened several days ago. There's already a thread going on this with pictures of the truck.

Here it is, check post # 40 from 02/07/2013

this and many other cases like this are shining examples of what happens when they lower their hiring standards. they get people with zero self control and are trigger happy. chances are those cops won't be fired or anything beyond that, and that is a damn shame.
