My check was cashed for the suppressor yesterday (3/20/2012). I entered the info into the NFA Wait Time Calculator, looks like 50% chance of November and 45% chance of December... Looks like wait times are up to 8-9 months

I have heard from several sources that wait time is currently about 6 months. I do like your idea about submitting new paperwork every 3 months, sounds expensive though.

I sent mine in about the same time as you, have they cashed your check yet? How long does it usually take for them to cash the check?

Yep, check was cashed on 3/20. My Form 1 in December took a little longer due to the holiday.

Check is cashed ASAP, then the paperwork just waits there.

Here, let me describe it... It's 7" long, about 1 1/2" diameter, stainless steel tube. There's some baffles inside, far end has a .30" hole, near end has a hole big enough for a NATO flash suppressor and has a clamping mechanism to secure it to the gun.

It's been over a year since my last, but I was 58 days mailbox to mailbox. At the same time, there were dudes who'd been waiting over a year, and were after. Nobody will ever know what the crap goes on in that BATFE NFA office, but there's NO way to predict when you'll get your crap.
