Reminds me of when I was just out of high school and had a summer job running dealer trades for a Chevy dealership in Olathe, KS. I took a Chevy Nova up to a dealer in N. Kansas City and picked up a 2 ton long bed Chevy truck. I got it half way back an all of a sudden it started jerking and making terrible grinding sounds. I got it onto the shoulder of the highway right before it died completely. Turns out there was no transmission fluid in it. My boss was PO'd! The only thing that saved my butt is that the other dealership agreed to pay for a new tranny.

After that experience, the first thing I did was check all the fluids even though these were brand new vehicles.
