    $300 PRICE REDUCTION!
    ================

    This is my best FAL and its none other than the top-end G1 variant. The lower with furniture is original FN minus the required compliance parts and the upper is a DSA type 2. Has an original FN G1 barrel and G1/STG handguard and comes with two US mags, military issued STANAG scope mount and a modern repro scope. Plus a bipod, flash hider and authentic/original FAL G1 carry sling! I'll throw in a regular cover too.

    $1500 (way below my cost) or trade for an M1A

    Please PM me with any questions or offers.

    Nice stick. What is the hunk of metal on the right side of the receiver,
    extending vertically from the rear sight mount and horizontally to the
    pivot? What make/model is the scope mount?

    The only piece that I can find matching your description is the right side of the lower receiver. The scope mount is an actual military STANAG mount, manufacturer unknown.

    Sorry to bug you about this, Have an Imbel and a DSA58 carbine, and neither possess that piece of metal. Do you know what it is and its function? Any info on the availability of the STANAG on the market?

    Corpsman,
    I believe what you are refering to is either the carry handel(Has wood on it) or the base of the scope mount?

    I don't think so. There is a "L" shaped piece of thin bar that extends from the action pivot, back to the butt of the receiver and up to the rear sight base. It is on the starboard side of the rifle.

    Are you talking about the contour cut on the type 2 receiver? I don't see anything else in the pic?

    corpsman, as far as I can figure, you mean what I have outlined in red below. If this isn't what you mean, which direction from what I outlined are you referring to? What I have outlined is the lower receiver.

    Is the flash suppressor threaded on or is it fixed?

    Neither. The FAL/G1 uses an insert and twist mount. You slide the suppressor onto the barrel and twist 180 degrees counter-clockwise where it is retained by a spring detent.
