I have one. Shooting Greek HXP from CMP I can hit 4 moa targets at 100 yards (1/2 pound tannerite tubs) using the stock iron sights. Use M1A/M14 stripper clips to load it, the magazine is meant to be used fixed and loaded through the action.

Gone now, but I liked mine a lot! Reliable, pretty accurate and cool looking! They were sophisticated in they're day!

BTW, mine was a .30/06.

The FN-49 is a cool gun in the same way that the SVT-40 is a cool gun.

Wooden stock, relatively low production, innovative (for it's time) operating system that directly led to a later, very successful rifle (FAL).

Also cool: you can get a muzzle-mounted grenade launcher for cheap and use it to launch dummy grenades. If you're into that sort of thing
