Fishing the Siletz river

So I spent six days fishing the Siletz river last week .
It was a good relaxing vacation but no fish .
Only a few fish caught when I was there .
I got a nice coho but had to release it . can't keep COHO on the SILETZ RIVER.
Also have a CHINOOK on but was released by accedent veia the net .
Lol got it to the boat but it got out of the net and left the hook in the net.

We needed more rain according to some of the other guys that made the trip out side the bay the fish where stacked up out in the ocean.

There were lots of people fishing but not much catching.

But there was always back at the camp fire and beer lol

That's nothing my friend was there for over a month and only got two fish.

The fish are not coming into the river they are hanging outside In the ocean.
They probably coming in now with the rain .
But too late for me.

If you're with good company, doesn't matter.
There's more to it.

We'll be hittin' the Deschutes up in the canyon this weekend (summer steelhead).
It's fast water fishin', chest waders, oh yeah.
We'll probably get some.
But even if we didn't, it would still be a good time.

Beer, tequila and whiskey will warm up the evenings.

My dad and I used to fish the upper alot for steelhead. did the lower a few times, he went for salmon, i for bluebacks

Well I make the trip to Oregon Siletz river every year .
Meet with my friend Charile the other guy in the picture .he's from California and if we don't get to salmon fish I go to his house and and bass fishing in SHASTA LAKE it's not about the fish it's more about who you fish with.

There was guy's at camp going up river and catching a few fish.
But the boat we had could not go up river.
18 foot Huges craft .and can't go outside the bay .
With out taking the boat out and putting it back in at depot bay and running north to the outside of the siletz bay

we just had a little 12 foot beercan, great for that river. dad could troll and drink beer and I could toss roosters.

That could be the Chehalis or any other river on the west coast right now... No fish in so far...
