On Sunday afternoon the store in Portland had 5.56, not much of it and a little pricey. I passed, probably gone now.

They also had a shield, at a very good price. That sure is a neat gun. I carry a Glock 23, I bet the shield would be a little easier.

I didn't pay enough attention, it was cheaper than I thought it would be ( considering I saw a FN 5.7 in the classifieds today for 1700 ) . I want to say 449 at the Portland Store, they may still have it.

    Which model M&P15?

There's a difference between paying $1499 for an M&P15 Sport, or paying the same for an M&P15 VTAC.

Pretty sure it was the Sport and NOT the VTAC

I figured it was the Sport.

That would fall in line with Fisherman's BOHICA pricing on anything MSR related, like .223/5.56 ammo.
