Well I believe @Caveman Jim is retired.
Me not yet .
But I save money and save money and save more money every month .
So when I get the chance to to take off work I can go fishing or something.
So it's not that easy .

But it's not that hard to do .
When you work you work.
I drink cheeap beer and cheep coffee .
I don't go to Starbucks and drink 7dollar coffee.
I know people that go to Starbucks everyday.
And pay 5 to 7 bucks for a cup of coffee.
Do you know how much money that is .that could be used to take a nice a really nice week fishing trip.
At 5 bucks a day that's almost 2 thousand dollars a year .for coffee.
Ok rant over back to fishing.

Lol I ordered 160 bucks worth of cookies.

If someone offered to take you fishing .
You should always AT LEAST OFFER TO PAY for gas or something anything.

Nah. Don't offer. Just do it. at the very least pitch in for gas regardless.

I go down south every other year to my friends house to fish and hunt .
He won't take money from me.
So you know what I do .

I leave money hidden in the room at his house that I stay in.
And when my plane lands back here in Seattle.
I call him and tell him there is 500 bucks hidden in the pocket of the blue shirt hanging in the closet.
Lol.
He gets so pissed lol

Over the years I've introduced literally dozens of kids (and single women) to their first fishing experience. With only one exception, all trips were a resounding success. (She didn't know fish had blood, and went hysterical in the middle of Trillium Lake when a gill-hooked trout sprayed the substance all over the floorboards of my boat.) Two pieces of advice if you're in charge of newbies to the sport: first, go where you're sure to catch something, such as the above lake, or someplace like Laurance Reservoir; second, debarb all hooks--a few tears and a bandage beats a trip to the ER any day.

PS If taking a date, be sure to pay for her license. It costs less than a dinner and a movie, and shows you're a gentleman.

Thanks for the welcome back, as you know that sometimes you just have walk away for a while (that ans sometimes you just don't have time)................

By the way, I never did make it to the river last weekend. A reliable source told me that I didn't miss much, except for a beautiful day on the river, as the steelhead weren't biting anyway.
