From what I've heard there is little requirement for proof of a relationship, so, anyone who just doesn't like you can claim that you have been stalking them, and your guns are in danger of being thrown into the crucible. As tragic as losing all the wealth I've saved in the form of fine weapons, it's the sleazy dishonesty of this anti-gun method that is even worse, and the fact that they have no shame in how they defraud us of our rights!
If you think this is about stalkers you have no clue about how devious the left really is, and this fits well the old marxist saying "The ends justify the means". You own a gun? You must therefore be a criminal, since criminals use guns to commit crimes. See, it's (almost) LOGICAL! That is if you are too stupid to have a clue that many crimes are stymied by honest people with guns!

I'm really trying to be respectful, but how in the world can you NOT know what's going on? OFF sends alerts as does GOA and many Republican congressmen and women send out newsletters and alerts about specific legislation.

Coz everyone has tv and cable ,or facebook.and reads the paper.... if it's that hard to be respectful maybe u should crawl back in your hole and leave NWFA because in the rules and regs it states to be respectful sooooo?.... I don't follow politics much because it causes unnecessary drama.... and for the Oregon legislature no not everyone knows or is aware of what they are trying to pass.....not to mention i have never known how to get that info.... so try and be respectful and educate people on what we should be doing would prob be best........not be such a grouch to fellow members

For those who actually believe politicians, specifically on the west coast are trying to make greater good, I ask where is any evidence? I've only seen selective prosecution, passing laws that actually endanger the people they are saying they want to help. Offering no actual solutions to gun violence just bleating what their billionaire overloads tell them to say. The ad bill after bill incrementally notching back rights writing laws so vague everything is punishable.

Please let me know where I am off track. I actually did some shooting on a few book bags today. It wasn't scientific but it did show a few surprises. It cost zero dollars but could help reduce injuries in school shooting by simply covering your vital organs if you have enough books or the right type of book bag. It's better than sitting in the open like we saw so many in Florida. I heard yet another debate of parents pleading for everyone to let the police handle everything no matter how much evidence the police are reactive. They want police to show up with gun but some how guns aren't the answer.

But it's always about control whether it's obvious or not and they'll take it incrementally or in big bites however they can get away with it.

Hannity and many police are advocating armed minders patrolling the halls. Sick little deviants would probably form an ambush to take them out though. The first thing I asked at the first school shooting is what is different from when I was in school centuries ago (It seems). Kids in high school didn't think about killing people.
I believe it is the teaching of evolution and the stopping of prayers in schools to blame. It's rudimentary, if kids think there will be no justice for murder in the afterlife they just plan on going out with a big flash. I do remember in the late sixties thinking I'd never live to be 40, so there is likely some of that too.

But the armed minders would take some of the "glory" out of murdering kids, since someone would be shooting back. "OH oh, there is justice!"

But people with no imagination start with what they think is easiest, take all the guns. Easy?

You can't even argue, well that was almost 80 years ago. That would never happen in the US anyway. The justice system aside and ignoring American Japanese during the same war, corporate security forces are close enough to law enforcement with their strong unions for my comfort. What's that saying that keeps coming up? Why do you need an AR15? Look at recent events with the pipeline issues and property rights.

Who says you aren't? That's the issue with these types of laws. You get notified as they are ignoring your rights and taking your property.

I'm sure that's what almost every person thinks. The ability for the abuse is what should be of concern to EVERY gun owner. I have a cpl and feel the the likelihood of me using my pistol to defend myself is as likely as a plane falling on my head yet I carry every single day.

I think you conclude correctly. myself and most folks I know that own guns have a long list of priorities in life that come before the second amendment. I actually don't think I know anyone in real life as adamant about the 2nd amendment as most of the people here. So until these bills start taking away regular non-violent joe's guns, most people are not going to think twice when they pass.

IMO it's weird that some people are not scared about the taking of others rights. Besides it's the process, not the details of it. They get people thinking that this is ok, then the next must be too. After all, government is only looking out for us and trying to take care of us.
