Stop this nonsense before it comes to your state or the EPA!

This condor thing is getting out of hand. Now OSU is sending out a survey to "randomly selected" hunters to get a "feel" for how they would respond to a lead ammunition ban. If any of you bright fellows have a rebuttal that includes evidence against such a ban please feel free to send it off to the university. It is an open invitation to comment. Please be courteous, and factual.

I was under the impression that lead shot isn't used much any more.
For waterfowl, it is, since about 1994. For upland game outside of refuges, it is not.
Curiously, multiple studies have shown the ban on lead shot to have had NO EFFECT on raptors and carrion birds, and the instances of lead toxicity related mortality.
Which is why they are now turning to lead bullets.
Even though no one from either side has suggested they restore the use of lead shot, before they move forward with more lead restrictions.
Then there is the ATF's stance on Solid Copper bullets. The ATF doesn't like them at all, and has outlawed various designs of SC bullets, as they claim they have armor piercing capabilities. For the handgunners that hunt, this will result in a defacto ban on handgun hunting, as the ATF will tolerate zero AP capabilities in handgun slugs.

From the last line of the press release here:

Anglin said the ODFW/OSU project team plans to conduct a similar survey of non-hunting Oregonians in the future.

Now, you know damn good and well where these surveys of "non-hunting Oregonians" will take place, and it won't be in ANY gun-friendly cities/counties in the state.
OSU and the ODFW know this too.
But the ODFW wants to be able to tell hunters "it's out of our hands," just like they did with hound hunting and bear baiting.

It's not about lead folks.
It's about making ammunition for those evil guns more expensive, and harder to get.
