I bought a used Beretta 92f, 1989 Italian made and have had lots of trouble with it so far. Every mag I got a FTF or a stovepipe. I replaced mag springs with wolf, bought a new Magtech mag, replaced the mainspring , cleaned the ejector and replaced the ejector spring . Best reliability I'm getting now is with the new magtech mag and Remington Military 115gr ammo, but even with that I get a malfunction every other mag. I also noticed a that the new mag held the slide open at empty when new and does so when clean, but after 3-4 mags fired, it does not anymore. Any help with diagnosis would be appreciated .

look at the locking block something that old may have cracks and also the barrel. take it out and put a round in it and see if its a wiggler

how do the slide rails look? do you own another beretta by chance?
