I don't think there ever was any real danger of that passing, and least not under this congress (if control of the house changes in two years, all bets are off).
It's the bill that's left that should be the real concern. They scare everyone with some draconian legislation, then we feel like we got a victory when it's scaled back to some more incremental restrictions, like universal background checks and magazine bans.
It's like some gangsters coming to your store and saying they're going to rob you and trash the place. You freak out until they say they'll leave you alone if you give them a hundred bucks.
You celebrate because you just got off cheap, until you realize that you've still been robbed, they got what they came for in the first place, and they'll surely be back for more.
It looks like she may try to add her ban to the Universal Background Check bill still going through the process. As she couldn't muster 40 votes on her ban alone, let alone 60, I would think it would drag down Background Checks too if it was added there. Hope the House will have the balls to stand up and reject this mess when, and if, it reaches them.
Yeah, but at lesat he didn't misspllell the tlite
IMO it's news that bears repeating
