That's pretty refreshing. Surprised he isn't advocating his officers take a more militaristic approach and institute curfews.

He might actually last a while. The mayor has to ask approval to fire him because Detroit is bankrupt. That city sure has been run well.

But yiu see more and more of this. Happened in Ohio a few years back.
Josephine county has armed vigilante groups patroling the streets.
They cut the police force to M-F 9-5 only going to life threatening calls.

This a time where the 2nd A comes into play. Mainly having your "well regulated militia"
When the state can't protect it's citizens, it's citizens must stand together to protect each other.

Yep, another one who gets it.

Had everyday Americans followed the dictates of America's founders everything would have been different. Crime would be limited to non violent crimes mostly, criminals don't want to be shot and lay dying on the sidewalks. Our police forces would be much smaller, we keep making them larger while denying them the policy doctrines that enable them to be effective! How stupid is that?
Every citizen should carry tomorrow, either openly or concealed. The NEXT DAY would be quieter except for the inevitable screaming liberals.
