I few years ago a fella owed me some money & gave me a NIB Century Wasr. It was in the original box with the bayonnet, oil can etc. I've never fired the thing until yesterday.
My initial impressions were as follows: It had much more recoil than I anticipated. Once I figured out that the front site was offset it was pretty damned accurate. I fed 100 rounds of Winchester white box ammo through if without one jam or mis-fire.
Gosh darn...it was a hoot to shoot. Now I find myself thinking of ways to improve the sights, stocks, etc.
I guess for the $400.00 the guy owed me I did alright! I just think I'll keep the ugly thing!
