Here in Central WA, we had a late cold front. Plus the fact that on public land I don't start shooting Rockchucks until this years young are out of the den. Opted for a 6.5 Creedmoor this trip.

The rifle is incredibly accurate.

Remington 700 action
Trued and squared
Bolt spiral fluted
Hunter bolt knob
Mini M16 extractor. The factory extractor died at 1600 rounds.
AG Carbon fiber "Alpine Hunter" stock. In carbon camo
Hawkins AICS DBM bottom metal
Bartlein 1-8, 23" 3B contour
Threaded 5/8-24
Custom dark grey Cerakote
Nightforce 20 MOA base
Nightforce alloy ultra lite rings
Leupold VX-5HD 3-15 Impact 29 MOA reticle
Silencer company Omega 300 suppressor

This rifle still shoots incredible groups with 1700 plus rounds on the barrel. The two groups posted bellow were shot in the last two days to confirm that my real world drops were spot on with my ballistic program . Mind you this rifle consistently shoots 5-8" to 1/2" @ 300 yards. The 300 yard group bellow was a smoker!

Great shooting!

I've been making the drive down into Oreogon to go after ground squirrels.....but living in the Seattle area makes for a very long trip.

Without revealing your exact hunting location, about how far from Seattle?
