lots of private land in keizer area...ive had good luck hunting the willamette greenway. early morning and evening. im on private land tho.

mckenzie unit hunts well. the bucks are usually in rut late nov/early december. lots of places to road hunt/ spot'n stock there. when i bow hunt, that is where i hunt late season. matter of fact, the last buck my buddy killed there ran right up to him chasing a doe. 40yrd shot. i was there for fun while they hunted as i went rifle buck last year.
McKenzie unit it is! Thanks for all the info!

We went to Missoula for a wedding 3 weeks ago, old 1950s neighborhood with sweet ramblers of brick, etc. on edge of hills...6x6s and 5x5s nonchalantly wandering through the yards and lawns...it was criminal, them just standing or laying there silently saying néener, néener,néener, you can't shoot me two legs.

Liver & onions anyone. You can eat some of it before you hang and age it. And elk roasts so tender it melts in your mouth. Haven't had any in years but both beat beef hands down.

Deer camp breakfast! Liver and onions, eggs, hash browns and onions, toast and homemade jam! Stand yer spoon up coffee!
Ah, life was good!
Congratulations on the deer, guys!

Good work man, glad to see you were successful! I want a suppressor for my lr308 so bad.. I built it with coyotes in mind and took 1 shot without hearing protection and I'll tell you, I'll be hunting dogs with muffs on.

no muffs required with a can!!!

any brake generally is going to make the gun seem louder. i would save up for a can bro. its worth it. i dont wanna shoot unsuppressed anymore.

btw, i never really hear my gun go off due to adrenaline when i shoot a big game animal. can or not

Filled my harvest tag today; not a monster buck, but totally grateful.

Three tanks of fuel; I hunted 3days/week since the opener. All over N&S Trask and N Stott units.

Overslept today, and was loading the truck when I seen this fella chasing a doe through our Woodlot; went up and closed my 2017 big game season.

The 165g Interlock in a Rem 788/ .308 did the job again.

A weird angle but I salvaged the upper-most half of the L shoulder. Bone blew out his L side through the mid shoulder and sternum, and the slug was trapped in the R side. Still have to weigh it. His heart was 90% dissolved.

16th buck notch on the 788 stock.

I'll try to upload the pic later; a forkie with eye guards.

Filled mine day before yesterday. He's no trophy but he'll eat good.

Weirdest behavior I've ever seen out of a buck. I was walking down an old skidder road and heard something around the corner. Crept around the corner and this fella was chasing his tail like a dog. Turning one way for like three spins and then turn and go the other way and then back again. Super strange. Only about 30 yards away I put one behind the shoulder. He then starts turning the other way, but noticeably slower. Not wanting to chase him I put another one behind the same shoulder. He does one more turn and then crash and burn.

Jealous. I couldn't hear right out of my left ear for a day or two. Of course after I complained about it all of my buddies had to rip off a round too. They all regretted it lol. I'm thinking maybe a different brake would help

Try a linear comp. I have a Kaw Valley on my AR10 and my AR15 pistol.
Love them.

I have a Micelek comp on my 16" and tried shooting it without ear pro and I thought I blew my eardrums.
Hurt real good.
