Field Stripping a Mini 14 with an after market stock
I am new to Mini 14's. I am not new to field stripping rifles. I went the Ruger website, and found the instructions for the model I am working on. The very first step is to remove the trigger guard. This rifle has an after market folding stock with a pistol grip, so I cant get in there to flip it up. I am wondering if there is a trick to doing it, with out taking it out of the stock. The reason I ask is this stock is known for being a bear to take off, or put back on. I included a picture of the stock in question. Any help or advice would be great.
Thanks.
