FFL Transfer Wait Times

Hi Guys, I'm planning on buying a shotgun in WA (OR resident FFL Transfer will take place in WA) what are the current wait times in Washington? I've purchased a handgun in Oregon 3 weeks ago (#3500 in background check, waited 1 week) and a shotgun 2 weeks ago (#5000 in background check line but instant approval).

What wait time am I expecting in WA? Is it likely ill be instantly approved because its a national background check system and i was previously instantly approved for a shotgun?

Wait times are per jurisdiction.

City of Vancouver - 1 week
Clark County - 2 weeks

Shotguns and Rifles FFL's go through NICS directly still. The state is not involved at this point to muddy up the process.

Are not shotguns and bolt rifles instant approval/ denial?

When I had a PA license, I bought 2 bolt rifles and my NICS was approved in less than 3 minutes, granted, this was in November past. I live in Tacoma.

Not in Washington. You need to take an online training course to buy one in Wa.

Do not forget some of the other BS. State BGC is $18 on SAR's just so you get the privilege of having it registered. You get to give them permission to run your medical history. There is waiting period.
