Erik Flores Eloretgui of Beaverton and Eugene resident Robert Allen Cummins are each facing a total of 26 federal charges, alleging that they illegally purchased guns in Oregon, and then illegally sold them in Mexico. Each Federal felony charge can bring a minimum of 5 years in prison, to a maximum of 10.

The guns they smuggled are all illegal to own in Mexico, and included AK-47 rifles, and also a .50 caliber rifle.

If it was two men from Arizona, it not be news. They would have the ATF blessing from Phoenix to Nagales.

perfect for Pinko Commie Floyd to push a SB941 conviction. Couple dollar fine.......no room in the "Lame County" jail............out on the streets before the ink is dry.

    Crime pays in "Lame County".

Man, why on earth would you risk your freedom for that? Unless they were illegals, or paid to do it by the gov.

Assuming this isnt a false flag glory story for SB941 and the feds finally doing something kind if thing.

The Oregonian now has more details. The guns were bought in 2013 and 2014, prior to SB941. And they do not appear to involve private sales in any way. It is said that the guns were bought from a dealer in Oregon City by the name of Adaptive Firing Solutions. The men are being charged with making straw gun purchases, and lying on the federal forms for the purchases.

Plus also removing the serial numbers from the guns, and then smuggling them across the border to Mexico.

Here is a link to the Oregonian news coverage:

I wonder if the Feds will come down hard on this dealer for being involved in this? Should he have been suspicious of such a large sale? I think that sales this large in border states cause an alert to be sent to ATF.
