Anyone with a certain level of intelligence can become a scholar, but not everyone dedicates their life to such cause.
This country is not about a single document. What we have today is a product of 200 years of various events and developments.
Unless one spends a significant amount of time learning and understanding those events, there is a high probability their
conclusions will not be accurate, especially if they are narrowly looking at a single piece of the puzzle.

Good luck to those gun owners understanding their rights based on a single line of text written 200 years ago. Certainly
they are not on the same page with the SAF and the NRA on that topic. But what do I know, SAF and NRA could be wrong
too.

Cherry-picking the "best parts" of the Constitution as well as considering information from it "open to interpretation" has created the social chaos that we as a nation are facing today. From the comfort of armchairs everywhere, keyboard warriors such as yourself like to create division and disunity among people that appreciate, fought and perhaps gave the ultimate sacrifice to our country and its ideals set forth in that "silly little text written 200 years ago".....If you truly are a scholarly minded individual, which I think you probably are, you are aware of the one twisted caveat of history, that those who fail to learn from it are bound to repeat it.
Its being repeated over and over again, and your logic is a broken record.

You don't have to take my word for anything. I am pretty confident your are a member of NRA, so look into NRA's actions when it came to
the Supreme Court case of McDonald v. Chicago. Look at what NRA was arguing there (while at it compare it to what SAF was arguing), and
then compare those ideas to some expressed here by myself and other members.

Even as a life member of the NRA, supporter of GOA, SAF and OFF I need none of those organizations guidance when it comes to my allegiance to the Constitution and especially the Second Amendment. My oath that I swore in the military is without compromise, so if any organization somehow lost their way and minds and became anti-2A, their treasonous actions are a death sentence in my book. Not that I think any of those awesome groups would do that!

At this point I wasn't talking about whether you need to follow their guidance as opposed to having your own position.
I was talking about whether their position matches your position. And the very actions they took there (engaging in
interpretation of the Constitution) indicate that they do not represent you. Not NRA, not SAF. I can't speak for GOA, they
have been below my radar for this entire time. OFF is not that scale of an organization, they are somewhat irrelevant to
the point. Reality seems to be you guys are in your own realm, and aren't represented by any major interest or
political group. There might be a reason for that.

Wrong,

the point is that I am not a sheep that needs to be told what to do. I would gladly go into battle, shoulder to shoulder, with OFF, the NRA, GOA or SAF as they are the only ones in our apathetic county that has the brass to stand up against the Socialism and Marxist political forces that are destroying the country. I support all these groups with my mouth as well as my checkbook.

So you're not concerned they're selling you out ? :)

I took an oath too, and so far I haven't done bubblegum (if you exclude some pro-gun activism) to protect anyone's rights. Actions matter, not symbolism.

Either you don't get it or you don't want to get it. Either way I'm through with my end of this conversation.
