Federal .45 ACP Recall

    I saw this on another forum and didnt see it here so I thought I would post it. Sorry if has already been posted.

    Federal .45acp recall

    Thanks, I know I have some Federal American Eagle .45 ACP in the safe that I will be checking tonight.

    dang I just bought like 500 rounds of the Federal stuff from Wallyworld. time to check the lot number...

    the link says that it's the incorrect charge in the rounds. probably an over charge from the factory?

    so what are we supposed to do if we didn't buy from that site? Will Walmart take the ammo back? Or do I have to contact Federal myself? this just sucks!

    You contact Federal if you have any of that ammo.

    From the recall notice:

    If you possess ammunition from any of these lots, or have questions concerning this warning, please contact us at 1-800-831-0850 or 1-800-322-2342 and ask for Product Service. Federal will provide replacement product and will cover the cost of returning the affected product. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

    ah okay I thought that was the number to Cheaperthandirt's CS. thanks for the clarification.

    Don't think it's Federal, but what manufacturer marks their cases R*P?

    RP is Remington Peters. This recall is on several Federal brands of ammo...check the link for info.
