One of my don't tell anyone is GI Jane. Except for the ending - which is stupid.


I don't see too much love for submarine movies- those are often tense.

Thanks @RicInOR. Memphis Belle, MASH, Schindler's List, Battle of The Bulge, and Apocalypse Now are some of the great ones. Though Schindler's List is a dark film to watch, any way you slice it.

Lots of movies on the list and I have watched most of them Not on the list is the original "Flight of the Phoenix" from 1965. Not set in war time though from what I can remember.

There's a new one on the horizon that looks stunning, and looks to finally tell the story of the Battle of Britton, "Hurricane"
And it looks like at least one more from that side of the story of WW2 dosnt have a officia total yet, but looks to be another amazing story! Can't wait!

Sailor for the King, a true story about a brittish sailor with a rifle that delayed a Nazi ships repairs long enough for the Britt to sink it.

No Man is an Island, about George Tweed who was trapped on Guam in WWII, true story.

From Hell to Eternity about a real marine that was called the Pied Piper of Saipan. Guy Gabralden

Could just be stuff I was focusing in on that wasn't near as widespread as I thought. Most of the negativity towards the movie I saw was on AR15dotcom recently. Really threw me off to see that movie besmirched.
