Lenny Bruce - there are a few videos of him on U-tuby

If you can just listen, you might try stand up on Spotify or Pandora

Many of my favorite comedians are listed above and they all have the same things in common:
  1. Their comedy isn't mean and directed at specific people - they laugh with but not at
  2. They don't take themselves too seriously
  3. They don't need foul language to be funny
I'll add Jim "Ernest" Varney to the list

The most brilliant comedians can tell a different joke or story to children and adults at the same time. As a kid Bullwinkle made me laugh up a storm. As an adult I visited friends who had kids and also thought it was a hoot. I watched a few minutes and saw all the things I missed as a child and later wound up rewatching all of them. Flintstones has much the same thing.

Funny recollection; I grew up rural with no television and raised in the Roman Catholic faith. Every now and then as a small child I'd see my father and uncles watch Father Guido Sarducci on a relative's TV. As a tot I was sooooo confused. :s0165:
