First thing that came to my mind too is favorite for what? They come in so many builds depending on what you want. If I could only have one? Probably would be one I don't even own now, an nice High Power. Of those I have now? Probably Wife's Ruger American. She is VERY recoil sensitive so it makes a dandy house pistol for her. Heavy enough that with full house loads she can still shoot it. 18 rounds on tap if things go sideways while I am at work.
Also have several PCC's in that caliber.

My favorite 9mm for target and concealed carry, Canik, some of the best factory triggers.

TP9SFX

Favorite platform, of carry, 1911.

Favorite caliber, 10mm.

I haven't yet shot a ruger american, I have shot the e9 and sr9 from ruger and love those, I have always thought those are pretty awesome for the lower price point. I will have to try an american.

Just a couple years ago I asked a local ffl his favorite out of the box 9mm and he went with the tp9 from canik. He said amazing feel and value straight out of the box without mods.

There are several versions of the TP9 series.

We like the TP9SF & have "several".

Wanted to try the TP9 double action/single action version for a long while, however simply never got around to it. Folks who may be interested in same, take care here, as there was also a dead trigger version. The first version IIRC.

ie the button to swap into SA (on newer versions) was just a "safety feature". Dead trigger.

Similar to a Walther P99AS (have one) is the Canik I was thinking on. The Canik TP9 DA…

Edit: threaded barrels are also available for Caniks…

It's a lot like a G17 with an external safety. Its why she choose that one. Pretty sure they made it with out one if wanted but she did want the safety. Bought it before the new mag laws went in here. Would not really be worth buying one in this state now unless you were going to make a trip out of state to get mags. Has been a solid little pistol for her though.
