This is an unused used knife with the original box included. I see them online for much less than I paid ( knock offs ) in 2010. This is an ideal Northwest belt knife since it is constructed of laminated VG 10 stainless steel. It has the Thermorun two way sheath. Aggressive retention on the trail and loose in camp. Just curious...how does it compare to an early Cold Steel carbon SRK?

I have a USA made Cold Steel SRK purchased used for $50. I purchased a very nice kydex sheath for it , $45. I keep my SRK with me everyday. I will be keeping this one as I would not be worried about actually using it.... someday. My long distance mountain trail walking days are over. I purchased the Fallkniven A1 for use around salt water. I have used knives extensively in the past , I just didn't own a proper hard use knife then. So all I can say is what you already know. There are plenty of YouTubers who torture blades for us to see.
For a hunting knives I preferred my Ruana and a Victornox for caping and fine cutting when field dressing game. I also have the Cold Steel Trail Master for sale and may add my large Cold Steel Kukri as well.

Thanks for the insight. I have an early SRK and sent my son one (with leather sheath) and have a lot of respect for them. I'm 69 yrs on and up until a couple of years ago did solo coastal hikes, so I went to little Busse to save ounces!. Ive never held a Ruana but they look like a great blade. Right now I'm trying to pick up a few Randall's for my son after I'm gone. The Trail Master is awsome.
