Ok ive had a lot of the same questions so Im just going to answer them here.
I believe its a 16inch barrel. Its a metric build made in Brasil on an IMBEL receiver. but assembled In Modesto Ca
Its metric
6 mags

Its the assembly I think most of us are worried about. There are allot of them out there that are a hit and miss. Not knowing who assembled it makes us nervous. Is there any way you can find out who did it?

I as far as number of rounds I bought some surplus ammo which fed just fine no problems. Probably put 200-250 rounds through it.

Im free tomorrow after 3 and most wed after noon abd before 7

it not a number matching parts kit for sure.
what i can tell from here is what looks like a south african, stg, G1, mix master with an inch pattern bolt carrier.
the muzzle device is also very un-fal.

im not an expert, wait a minute, yes i am. i dont post on the fal files anymore but ive been messing with fals for over a decade. i was one of the first idiots one the fal files to move the gas block on the barrel back five inches and experiment with super short barrels welding G1 flash hiders on to keep them 16". went as far to take a fal barrel stub and lathe it out to fit a turned ak barrel. head spaced and then welded them together, yielded a 7.62X39 fal. Stoney is on this board somewhere, it was his half baked idea and it worked and was brilliant and we were hero's on the fal files.

my point is that i have seen better quality fal's built by the hobby non-gunplumbers of the world who cared to spend more time and effort when not doing it for a living. i have never built a stock fal or 16" barrel fal that didnt run straight out of the gate.

um, no i didnt build this one, work on it or ever see it up close. sorry but i cant disclose how many ive been involved in but i was getting back when the getting was good. i actually never thought it end, is was so good.

That looks like an Imbel MD2 or MD3 series and would be based off the FN FAL. As silly as it sounds I figured it out on Wikapedia so don't take my word for it. :)

Im not sure what your trying to say, all I know is that this gun is completely functional, and is a blast to shoot.
I also know I have school loans to pay for.

What I know (if I may add to your comments) is that at today's prices this thing is worth at least that much just for parts.
The upper receivers last time I looked are running about $600 (nuts, I know, because DSA are couple of hundred bucks cheaper).

Imbel GL receiver on a nice looking stg kit.
Sean put yer glasses on. :s0112:

The barrel looks to be 18" by my calibrated eye, the FH on a 16" barrel is much closer to the bipod cut.
Willing to bet it has a DSA sand cut carrier to put up with 922 BS

Worth every bit of the asking price. IMOHO a pretty good deal.

krkruse, your box is full, tryed to send you an pm, please sent me a text, I dont have your number anymore.
my cell is 503-810-9934.
Thanks.
