I highly recommend Irish Death. Text on the can identifies it as "Beer Candy" and that is accurate.
It's the color of Coca Cola and absolutely delicious!
If we weren't having mush with fruit compote for breakfast I would have one with my morning meal. That's WITH, not FOR breakfast - I'm not an alcoholic.

I like my beer dry.

Made a pilgrimage to the Oktoberfest in Munchen to sample many a dry and wonderful beer.

Only time I drank beer in the morning.

Got to the festival around 10:00 in the morning with my British girlfriend and witnessed people, standing on top of the heavy picnic tables, already so 'spirited' they were linked arm in arm and bellowing out some happy songs in German.

I was a tad shocked.

At 11:00 I joined them in their boisterous revelry.

I too was quite spirited by then...

The Germans regard beer as health food. Their pure food and drug philosophy as applied to beer dates to 1516 and is still in effect..
Now that's some folks who take their beer seriously.
