Received a phone call 3/27 AM, from someone who could barely speak English, demanding that I contact my legislators to urge them to vote for H0301 (2015).
The caller claimed that H0301 (2015) closes a loophole that allows criminals to carry concealed weapons.
He picked the wrong person. I told him flatly that he was either misinformed or lying, most likely the latter.
H0301 (2015) just continues existing legislation, which requires licensing for concealed carry, with some minor tweaks. BTW, NRA-ILA believes these tweaks to be manna from Heaven.
H0301 (2015) is in the Idaho Senate State Affairs committee as of today, 3/27.
Sen. McKenzie, [email protected], is committee chairman. For those in Idaho, write to him with the message that licensing of possession of firearms is unconstitutional according to the following stipulation found in Article II, Section 11:
No law shall impose licensure, registration or special taxation on the ownership or possession of firearms or ammunition.
Be nice. Sen. McKenzie appears to be on our side.
