I was 4. That was 50 years ago. You can't expect me to remember much about it. I can imagine not being too happy about the whole deal.

I'm curious if the OP is after advice/experiences or just something new to talk about?

As for me, I've had the gas when little for cavities and was sedated for 4 impacted wisdom teeth. No fear of a dentist, he's just doing his job and hopefully making me as comfortable as possible while doing it. Don't remember straps ever coming out at the dentist, but I do at the ER for stitches when I was 7 or so.

I've never been gassed, but my dentist does when I show up!

Had it for surgery - hardly noticed it. Just relaxed me a little. Had some local anesthetic too.
