It important to remember they already don't want us driving suv's or trucks because "its bad for the environment" we should stop making this argument before they get ideas and I'm stuck driving a dinky little smart car.
No doubt our leaders want the Roads saved for the Elite Ruling Class and the rest of us delegated to tiny smart cars, mass transit or bicycles. All for the environment and the kids of course!

Mass killing by car though, is our best example of how we have all these massive rules and laws with cars but still lose many lives to drunk/drugged, drowsy, inattentive or reckless and sometimes insane drivers. Many of whom have had their DLs revoked and still find a way to get behind a wheel!

In other words life is dangerous and no one gets out alive. Unless we want a Police State that locks people up for any strange behavior and carefully controls our every movement and word under threat of confinement, then we are going to have a few homicidal criminals, serial killers, mass terrorists and mass murderers walking and (Driving) amongst us.

I'm not willing to give up any more freedom in exchange for a tiny promised amount of more safety. And I don't give a rat's a$$ if the next mass killer uses a press cooker, min van or a semi auto. The result is no different.

They need to quit focusing on the tool.

On Saturday, a car plowed through a crowded intersection during Oklahoma State University's homecoming parade. Four people were killed and dozens were injured, and the driver of the car, Adacia Chambers, is being charged with four counts second-degree murder.

But according to one newspaper, the Traverse City Record-Eagle, this incident was... a shooting.

Here is the paper's "correction" for the misleading headline. It wasn't exactly easy to find this "correction". Seems they would want to make it more clear to their readers. If you get a moment, read the comments to see what their readers think of this...

Because of a page designer's error, a misleading headline appeared on page 3A in Sunday's Record-Eagle accompanying a story about a driver who struck and killed four people at the Oklahoma State University homecoming parade on Saturday.
