Because NWFA is not the auctioning site (liabilities etc), it has to be and would need to be clear this is between private individuals and not to cross any boundaries for any 501C3 status.

I just did this on Monday. I ended the auction on Wednesday.
One question asked (by a moderator) was whether the donation money generated by the auction could be also used as an annual membership gifted to a deserving member. Kinda like a two for one donation.

Maybe that's what I was thinking of?

I posted my auction. Ammo classifieds. I swear someone had one of these up before?

I also started thinking, I'm not sure every one cruises the classified just to see how crazy prices have gotten? IF an auction style ad goes up, maybe it should be in "General firearm" discussion? More eyes see it the better. Also, more folks that don't HAVE to have the ammo, but would like to help out? Just syain'

@jbett98 just did this with box of ammo recently. I would suggest rather than modifying rules to accommodate random auctions that you do it this way instead.

List item at a very high price and add "or best offer." The "or best offer" will accomplish the same thing and Joe won't have to bend rules or pick and choose between members.

More than likely I'll be done after this. If I decide to buy ammo I don't need or want I'll just sell it for what I paid. Maybe comb through PMs and feed back to get contact info on folks I've had good dealings with in my time here and offer it up to them. My hope was that we might get some members that sell a bunch of components at 2-5 times what they paid for them pre-rona to pony up something for the site they use for their advantage.
