pretty sure that's what the article is saying. Unless you're driving a Prinus, you should be fine.

like has been posted before your car is a natural shield if you are still uncertain then add a ground strap directly to the ground that you could easily hook and unhook

I'm a fan of a bike as a backup. Bikes are available everywhere and it's a nice feeling knowing that I have a backup "just in case." It's simple and fairly inexpensive to just get a used bike, then build it up from there with a rear rack and baskets, and eventually spare innertubes, etc. It really beats walking.

Bikes are great ways to exercise without pounding your joints to pieces! They are pretty tough too. EMP created car stopages were kind of a fad back in the day.
